Five to ten minutes after having eaten whatever I cook. It's driving me crazy. I don't understand this. Please help give me some some kind of answer.


He loves to drink juice or soda all the time if he could, he doesn't drinking water.


I argue with him all the time telling him he can't drink like because he has Kidney failure also.

Unfortunately people with dementia develop obsessions. Often, it’s with food. They will eat until they make themselves sick. Don’t make big meals. Cook just enough for the two of you for one meal. You don’t want lots of leftovers. Have healthy snacks around. Vegetables, fruits, popcorn, things like that. Soda isn’t good for anyone. Maybe don’t buy a whole bunch. As for the juice, that’s very sugary. You can cut the juice with water. When the bottle is half empty fill it with water. It will still look and taste like juice but it will be half water. If you think he’s eating because he’s anxious about something, maybe call his doctor and ask for a mild anti-anxiety medication.
