i am thankful for the support from this group as i struggled with caring for my 94 year old father with dementia. He passed on last month. that is a big adjustment too. besides it being so quiet in my house now, i am overwhelmed with the trust. and how to proceed. te trust use my fathers ein# not sure ow to change that. and stocks and bank accounts need so much information.... whoa wish i had experience with this stuff

Not sure if you have figured this process out, but you will need to get a new EIN number from the IRS. You can do this online. Managing a trust is a long process. I hope all is going well.

Go to the bank with proof you are the Executor. Most banks have a Trust Department and can assign you an account manager to help you. If you have a personal attorney, ask him if he handles Estates and if he can connect you to a CPA for help with tax returns for the Estate.
