Jennifer, self isolating is the best thing for limiting your exposure to the C-19 virus. Runs to the grocery store are fine as long as you keep your distance from other shoppers, it's been a learning curve for all of us to remind ourselves not to stand next to someone shopping in the same aisle.

I work in a small office, as our self-employed "employees" always have worked from home. Thus, just the boss and myself. We closed up the office on March 16th and haven't been back. I do go to collect our mail since our mailboxes are on outside metal postal stands.

My boss wants to re-open, I told him to wait for another couple of weeks. We both are senior citizens, and the boss tends to not to want to stay at place in his home.... [sigh]. I know I don't want to take any risk for myself or my sig other, who is also a senior. We do have age related underline conditions.

Take a leave. COVID will likely kill your mother. Unless you can arrange to stay somewhere else, take a leave of absence from your job. Mom has COPD and I’ve cancelled my trip to visit her for Easter because my husbands co-worker just tested positive for COVID.
