Like that guy who was helping a neighbor and paying her bills. I think she had ALS. He never answered our questions and I reported it as maybe a scam. Admin did nothing. No one continued to reply so it went into never never land,
If you're talking about the people in situations that sound impossibly bat s**t crazy the one thing I've learned over the last several years is that there are more people living in that reality than I ever imagined 🤷♀️ As for the incomplete or one word posts - I've always thought those are people who were trying to do a site search or who had second thoughts and couldn't delete what they had written.
For certain. I have long said this, only to be met with "we're not allowed to question whether someone is real or not". I finally gave up, and just sit back and enjoy it. I answer each one (and today there are several, some of them in the "no punction crowd".) This is exactly the sort of thing I long ago questioned and was told that the admins give "great latitude" in terms of questions.
Isn't the whole thing today that "we can't be judgmental"? How those non-judgy folk cross streets safely without using at least SOME judgement, I am not certain. If you aren't going to make judgements about the folk knocking on your door or on your phone requesting all your private information, you could be in a world of woe. My vote goes to JUDGEMENT. I use it in every conceivable situation. This Blue Dog Liberal is still waiting to be a-WOKE-n.
Let's see, 1st example, the post about a 10 day AK trip with a husband that is incontinent and won't wear depends. People can not really be this clueless.
Or the poster, Ihateher, nobody really believes that there is a number to call because your mommy isn't doing what you want. This was the one that triggered the idea we are being trolled.
No. I don't really read discussions much. Will occ. look in on the top one or two, and the first few things to check if anyone's sick or such. But otherwise I don't do much there unless they want to know what I am reading.
I am certainly not problems on the Questions portion itself. I do see the occasional "political" sort of questions (regarding Medicaid most recently) or some posted video, but it seems to me that all the regulars are jumping in to say, in essence, best we don't go here.
Is there any way for you to give us examples of questions that are of concern, RR? Is it political stuff, or are you feeling our questions are "not real" or something? Would love an example or two or three just in terms of subjects that are worrying. I noted you were gone from AC for a while and just back very recently? I wonder if any change is more apparent if you aren't around for a while and return?

I will look and come back with others.
