COVID and travel. Does travel insurance cover COVID issues?

Who ever thought this would happen
You hear stories.. among stories..coping, dealing.. facing it...
I have talked to a lot of people who think it is political, or false, it's not really happening... someone, or something is behind it...
Whatever... It is... and it is ..all over Mother Earth.... People call me and ask if we are okay... yes, but the neighbors were affected/infected..tested positive, because a nurse who was taking care of stage 4 cancer patient went to a party with 200 + people... well...what in the heck did she think? She tested positive, and the home she was taking care of, tested positive after she came into close proximity to them. Luckily, they quarantined and pulled through.
A friend scheduled a flight to Japan. Got the covid test results which are good for 3 days... Upon arriving into Taiwan, the test was null and void.. It was over 3 days.. What? Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.. Wednesday was the day of travel.. but if you factor the time zone... it was four days... ??
Airlines sent him back home on the next flight.. He initially had to pay the flight back home.. Hopefully they reimbursed him.
So, if you had to travel..( he did), will travel insurance cover concerns of covid?

Covid is considered an act of God and isn't covered. That's why everyone's vacations and concert tickets were merely postponed, not refunded.

I recently bought an airline ticket for my daughter to travel to see me for Christmas. I bought the travel insurance, but it doesn’t cover Covid. This was for United Airlines. Don’t know if they cover the insurance, or if it is an outside company.

Travel for work (my DH) and travel for 'fun' are categorized differently. IF DH caught covid while on work related travel, he would be sent home immediately and no loss of wages or any extra fees for changing flights.

If Flying for 'fun'..well, buy the insurance and read the fine print. Every airline has appeared to be different in their approach, Dh knows as he has flown all the major airlines this year. Wish he wouldn't, but he goes crazy knowing a jobsite is in trouble and he can fix it.

I have gone absolutely nowhere this year. Like a lot of people!

I just would not travel especially with second outbreak.

you are only on second outbreak? I think the news said we are on third...???
honestly, I don't watch news that closely... I hope this goes away soon....

You will need to pick a specific policy and read the fine print. I'm sure they've all covered their backsides in the tiny type.
