I want to be the caregiver for my grandfather but don't know how to start. Need some help with how I can do that?

Call your state Dept of Aging and your Area Agency on Aging. They will both have some material they can send you to get you started as a caregiver. The AAonA has an excellent booklet called "The Caregivers Toolbox". It's a great general resource.

Your grandfather is young at 67, he could easily live for another 20-30 years. You are the single mother to children who need 100% of you, not whatever is left over after you care for you grandfather.

Where is he now? What sort of care does he require?

There is very little financial assistance for family members to care for elders. Unless he has the funds to pay you for providing care.

Remember that you will be providing care 24/7. You will not get a break.
