I have a torn rotary cuff and will have to have surgery. I take care of my mom (96) that is in a wheel chair and has dementia. Any advice?

How do I get help to take care of her while I get well?

I think Medicare might cover respite as well. Best of luck to you.

I would put her in respite care for the 6 weeks you need to get better, maybe longer based on what your doctor and therapists say.

Good luck with the surgery.

If he is on Medicaid then they might pay for the respite care.

Perhaps you could arrange respite care in a long term care facility?

Ouch, so sorry to hear this. I would hire a caretaker for a few weeks, you will have enough on your plate.
