My mother is in enhanced memory care AL. She has dramatic behavior changes. Goes from delightful to wicked in a moment. Can anything help?

No apparent trigger. She will be asked to leave if she keeps up her nasty behaviors. She gets violent, throwing things, screaming, tried to hit an aide with her walker. We hired the aides to try and stabilize her afternoon and bedtime routine. She has a prescription for lexepro and seroquel. Sometimes she refuses them. She becomes oppositional and paranoid. Anyone experience this? Is there anything that could help her?
thank you

Thank you. She does not have a uti. And dr. Said until the meds he prescribes are taken he won’t change them. Had not thought of inpatient.

Have you talked to her prescribing psychiatrist?

Has she been tested for a urinary tract infection (sometimes these cause psych symptoms)

Cconsider having her sent to an in-patient psychiatric unit to get her meds and behaviors stabilized.
