NeedHelpWithMom Asked April 2019

I was recently told by someone that I truly love and respect that people see us by how we see ourselves. Any thoughts on this?

I find a lot of truth to what she said. I was down in the dumps awhile back and venting to my daughter and she told me to stop projecting a negative image of myself to others and to start looking at my good qualities. It didn’t quite sink in at that particular moment because I was feeling so low. Afterwards I was able to focus on what she said and I really appreciate what she said.

She said often times we are treated with more respect, love and understanding if we show others that we appreciate who we are.

Doesn’t mean that we look at ourselves as perfect and don’t have to work on goals, we do. I do see her point and I think she is right. If we show others we respect ourselves they will take us more seriously about how we wish to be treated.
