I don’t know if anyone has experienced the following: my husband seems to have more patience with my mom than I do.

However, I have more patience with his father than he does. He recognized this the last week with my mom staying with us. Now he realizes what I see when he gets frustrated with his father. Anybody notice this?

My hubs was better with my dad towards the end. Dad would be violent with mom and I,but was all calm with hubs.. Maybe it was the man to man thing.

It's typical, because we only struggle with relationships that are really close to us. When you have less connection to someone, (like father in law), it's much less painful to interact with him, cuz you have much less emotional investment
