My brother is experiencing catonia a stiffness of the muscles. It calls him to stop eating and he goes into a state like a coma. Does anyone have experience with this?

My brother whom have a serious problem with Catatonia has developed pneumonia and a collapsed lung. But he is still here, I give all praise to the Lord. Continue to pray for my brother and me. Thanks

Nothing right now, he has been in this catatonic state for almost 8 days and now he has developed pneumonia and one his lungs have lapsed. He is trying so hard. I need all prayer hoping he will pull through. I know if it's God will he will come out victorious. In Jesus Name.

Catatonia is a psychiatric condition sometimes seen in schizophrenics.

What kind of medical professional is treating your brother?

Ahmijoy Feb 2018
I’ve seen people have seizures before and this is what it sounds like. Not every seizure causes a person to toss about. Your brother should have tests ordered by his PCP to determine what’s going on.

Love1946, I am moving your post back to the front of the forum to see if any caregiver has had experience with this.
