I am caring for my 2 aunts, 1 blind and immobile and 1 functional but has alzheimers. Can I put them into care together somewhere?

My aunt is getting Alzheimers but is still functional. My other aunt is completely dependent and blind. Neither of her sons are willing to help and the other has no other family except for me. Is there a place where I can put them together that offers different ranges of care to fit their individual needs?

Money is going to be the thing. They maybe able to get a room together which would help with the cost of room and board. The big cost is the care that will be needed for both. The other option would be a nursing facility that Medicaid will pay for if they qualify.

Dear pedegro,

Good of you to look after both your aunts. I think yes, there might be a facility to accommodate both their needs, but I would talk with a social worker or case worker to help coordinate this.
