Starting a caregiver's support group - Advice?

Hi, everyone! We're thinking about starting a caregiver's support group at my church and I'd like to hear from caregivers about what would be helpful. Here are a few questions that might stir your thoughts:
1). My ideal support group would include...
2). I wish I knew...
3). I wish other people understood...
Thanks so much for your help!

JM, are there support groups in your area already? Alzheimer's Association has them all over the country. One of my issues with caregiver support groups is that they meet only once a month. Maybe twice a month wouod be better, but then you get into caregiver time constraints. How about asking people at the church on what they would like to see. That would also be a good way to find assistance with the organization of the group as well. Do you know how many people in the church are caregiving on some level?
