What can I do to override false POA?

My niece has false documentation of poa over my brother while he's in the hospital and wants to pull the plug but he is still coherent. What can I do to override her decision?

How can a patient on a ventilator be "coherent"? That's why I'm thinking it's dialysis.

In fact, my fil was on dialysis for end stage kidney failure and the "plug" was pulled, precipitating his death. So there are different plugs.

All I could suggest is go to an attorney and explain the situation, they will guide you.

The term override is a technical computer term.

Peeps, setting all other issues aside, the phrase PULLING THE PLUG has in the past always referred to ( especially in the movies) taking the electrical socket out of the wall that gives electricity to run the respirator/ventilator, wherein after doing that the patient would die.
But then you will all soon understand that phrase is not what has pushed your buttons, this is another one of those posts. Just saw one with another question within the last hour. Hopefully, the poster can come back with the full story and was sincere in asking the question. Good night all, there are some serious recipes over on the 'What's fof Dinner thread.'

And what plug? The only thing I can think of is dialysis. If your brother is still coherent, then it's HIS wishes that are abided by.

Who are you hearing this story from? I can't imagine that it's first hand.

I'm in agreement with Windy, you really haven't given us enough information. In my opinion if your brother is coherent no doctor will even considering 'pulling the plug', especially if it is against his own wish.

Pull what plug? What's wrong with your brother? Can you prove the POA is false? You need to fill in many blanks.
