Where can I get caregiver help?

My mother has mod alz is in a wheelchair partially incontinent very verbally abusive I'm at my wits end recently moved to il unfamiliar with help here moved from fl on an urgency need we had mom in rv (was doing well) had a lot of mechanical problems was stranded off n on for a week until the engine went my sister drove 1200 miles picked us up while my husband stayed with RV to be towed we are financially strapped and I'm on my last thread who and where do I turn to?

Agree with above post. Start there. You can also visit your local senior center and they usually have director that can point you to the right resources. Make sure you understand moms finances, insurance, va benefits if applicable, income and medical prognosis to help you navigate this maze of options. Sounds like AL or memory care facility will be best bet, but there are also group homes for elders etc. sounds like she will need some skilled care so as you visit a few, make sure you understand and read fine print on what is included and ala carte fees for service. If she will live with you or near you, you might consider in home care but that can be just as expensive if you need 24/7 care.
