If someone was taken to the hospital because they were dizzy, then we found out it was because they ate marijuana cookies, should we tell the hospital?

a 'hypothetical' person felt dizzy, disoriented, 'funny'. 911 was called. took her to the hospital. this hypothetical person had an mri, ct scan and other tests. nothing conclusive. person started feeling better. approaching the 2nd night in the hospital, the patient spoke with a friend who has a valid prescription for medical marijuana. my friend had unknowingly eaten 2 cookies full of marijuana! the hospital does not know this - yet. do we tell? I'm worried that they would then charge for all of the tests. help!! also don't want to get the fi

should be OK then, as long as they don't have to report TIAs as a pre-exisiting condition for any kind of insurance or anything n the future! glad it all turne out OK...

well, they did all the tests before we realized she had eaten the 'funny' cookies so that was water under the bridge. the dr. said it was a small tia. it did not seem like it would help any to tell 'the rest of the story' so she didn't. thanks!

you may need to tell, just so they don't feel obilgated to continue with more workup! docs don't normally inform law enforcement about things like this, and the workup under the circumstances was totally appropriate.
