Watchng your parent decline...

I have read lots of post and they have helped...nothing could prepare me for this. Sorry but it sux !! I love her but she is not my mom.... while my 2 close sibblings help out they are not here 24/7.... llike when she uses her walker to come to your door late at night to see if I am mad at her. Geez, I thought life was hard..but another step.

It’s heartbreaking! Glad your siblings help. I read your profile. Your mom is 97! Lots of people with parents in their 90’s on this forum. My mom will turn 95 in November.

I agree with Shell and ReallyReal.  It's a painfully emotional process.   It's a challenge as well, and changes the family who provides the care.

I think it is one of the hardest things about life...seeing our parents decline is heart wrenching!

Great big warm hug !

It is difficult to watch our loved ones age and fail to thrive.
