Moving through the grief process and still caregiving.

Took my best friend of 42 years into my home and cared for her til Dec. 10, 2014 when her struggles ended. Also have my 87 yo mother who completely ruptured her Achilles tendon Thanksgiving night. So, I'm feeling lost without my best friend, troubled with caring for Mom who is starting to do dangerous things. I'm very concerned about Mom's heart..in July she was diagnosed with CHF. VNA has been hearing different heart sounds...to be expected. I'm feeling overwhelmed, also to be expected. I'm taking one step at a time, but not sure where this journey will take me. Know from previous deaths--my Dad--changes in my life are coming. I'm not the same person as Dec. 10. I guess I'm just blogging this to put it out there. Grief has no playbook.

Grief can sometimes just be tough work! Main thing is to take care of yourself and take one day at a time. God bless!
