That is horrible, and abusive, in my opinion, for someone, no matter who, to tell you on a major U.S. holiday, were persons are supposed to be celebrating peace, abundance, togetherness, health, and welfare, is outrageous. I would not take it personally, and I would go have dinner at a local church, which is offering Thanksgiving dinner and celebration. You will be welcomed with open arms there.
