My parents are 89-years-old and live in an assisted living facility. They will run out of funds in about 3 months.

We are in the process of gathering documents to apply for medicaid. My father is a veteran and we are thinking about also making an application for the Aid and Attendance Pension. Is it worth the effort to apply for the VA benefit when we are applying for medicaid?
