Find Care & Housing
Any move is traumatic for a person with dementia and it may take awhile (up to months) to actually settle in depending on the stage of dementia. When we moved my mom into our home, we tried to replicate what we could to create familiarity. For example, her nightstand is on the same side of the bed as before and we put the same lamp on the nightstand that she was used to using. Anything like that will help with the transition.

The biggest help will be the people who are caring for her - they can make a huge difference!

I hope the move goes smoothly for you!
