My mom is at the end stage of dementia, and she is too much to take care of at home. Do they have emergency placement until her paperwork is ready?

Is mom on Hospice?
If so the Hospice Social Worker can often work miracles when placing a Hospice patient. Often a facility that does not have a bed, or a facility that does not have a Medicaid bed will find one. They realize that it will not be a long-term placement. And if she is at end of life often a Hospice will place a patient in their In Patient Unit. Medicare Medicaid will provide almost 1 week of respite per year. So placement in the In Patient unit would be covered.
If she is not on Hospice now might be the time to call

Mom can be admitted to a facility "Medicaid Pending" if you are talking about getting her placed before her LTC Medicaid approval comes in.

To what paperwork do you refer? For a spot in a facility? For Medicaid?

Who is "they"?

Can you please clarify? Thanks
