Is mom on Hospice? If so the Hospice Social Worker can often work miracles when placing a Hospice patient. Often a facility that does not have a bed, or a facility that does not have a Medicaid bed will find one. They realize that it will not be a long-term placement. And if she is at end of life often a Hospice will place a patient in their In Patient Unit. Medicare Medicaid will provide almost 1 week of respite per year.
