I've been taking care of my mom and I was told I can get paid for this. Is that true?

Vezzikash, the vast majority of grown children who are caregivers for their parent(s) usually are not paid.... unless the parent can pay you out of their own savings. If your Mom can do that, you would need to draw up an employment contract stating the number of hours you will work, your duties, pay per hour, days off, etc. And the payroll taxes.

As others have mentioned, if your Mom qualifies for Medicaid [which is different from Medicare], check with your State Medicaid office to see what is available, as every State is different.

Depending on the State you live in and if Mom fits the criteria, Medicaid in home may pay you. But it won't be alot.
