Dealing with alcohol and depression, any suggestions?

My parents are living in Senior Apartment living. My dad has some depression and with his daily afternoon "Happy Hour" is making him mentally forgetful and delusional, making life for my mom hard. Trying to find some support or suggestions that may help my mom deal with this as with Covid, we are not allowed in their building. I believe the confinement with their building is adding to my dad's depression as he was always an active person. He is 87.
