What do you do when the POA won't allow you to visit father at rest home?

Won’t communicate at all as to what is happening with him. They started allowing outside visits at his facility and they are supposed to be weekly visits. I’m being told I can only come maybe every 6-8 weeks.

Who is the POA? Why are you not being allowed to visit your father? That is, what excuse are you being given. Is this to protect Dad from bring in Covid-19? Has there been any disruption around your previous visits? Were they disturbing to Dad? We need more information to be able to give you any solid advise. Are they limiting visitors? Which of course would be wise as Covid is still absolutely RAMPANT and especially so in care homes, in prisons and etc. Please take care when you do visit. Hoping you will update with more info.

At least where I am those weekly visits were truly limited to one per week so if there is a large family or if the primary contact chooses to visit often that can amount to someone only being allowed one per month or so, they are also physically distanced, masked, supervised visits so although family can lay eyes on their loved ones I can't imagine they are very satisfying for either party. At least they've dropped the requirement for a recent negative test for outside visits.
