Waking up and large black areas in my vision, should I be concerned?

I would contact my eye dr. If you have diabetes/high blood pressure, it could be an occlusion requiring possible treatment.

I would definitely contact an eye doctor to determine if you should be seen.
I sure would if it was my eyesight.
