Can't take care of spouse with failing health and he can't be left alone at any time. Any suggestions?

This is sad and truly is beyond your control. If you are not in good health yourself it is impossible to care for someone else.

Surrendering isn’t always giving up, it’s allowing yourself to move forward. It’s letting go of a situation that clearly isn’t working.

i would just like to add that if you call Adult Protective Services, you will not be in trouble or be arrested or anything. They will assign you a caseworker who will talk with you and help you get what you need

I'm so sorry to hear this. Call adult protective services and explain how both of you are in bad shape as well as ask them for help.
