Do memory care facilities take people who are also experiencing vision loss?

MIL with dementia and glaucoma recently had a bout with shingles. Her vision has suddenly taken a turn for the worst. Apparently shingles can affect the eyes. It is almost like she is going rapidly blind. Are MC facilities open to the visually impaired? If the condition does not reverse we will need to make a change and soon. Seeing a specialist tomorrow, but would like to be prepared. Thanks.

Yes. they absolutely DO. Please visit facilities in your area. Find out which are best for the condition.

When my mother was accepted into the “lock down” unit of the Memory Care unit, she had Macular Degeneration and was accepted into the unit with no problem.
