My mom has been on home hospice for 4 months—the last month in my home. It’s alresdy taken a major toll on my family life. I want her to go into a skilled nursing facility and receive care for the medical conditions related to her diagnosis. Will her stay, including room and board, be covered by Medicare?

If mom is impoverished, Medicaid would kick in. If she is a Veteran or the wife or widow of a vet, there might be coverage from that source.
