My parents live in Nevada, and I need to relocate them to live with me in California. Any suggestions?

My parents both have Humana in Nevada, and the health care has been fragmented and slow. My father was just diagnosed with lung cancer, and my mother and disabled brother are dependent upon him. I’m not sure where to go. I have a small place, but will have to make it work somehow, as I can’t afford to have someone watch them and I can’t be driving back and forth

This will not be easy. I am assuming brother is on Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. Medicaid does not transfer from state to state. It has to be reapplied for and there maybe a residency thing. Dad's Human a may not go over state lines either. Meaning he would have to find a new insurance and doctors too. I think you need to take some time and think this through. It may not be in the best interest for everyone to move to Cal.

Hurry slowly, Gina. When did you hear about your father's diagnosis? How much discussion have you had with your parents about plans for their care?
