How do I get paid to care for elderly mother with dementia? Had to give up my job.

Did your father serve in the military at all?, if yes, its quite possible you cud receive money for caring for your mom, and having her reside with you, worth at least checking out, and definitely, dont forget about your future and your well being in it, good luck my friend. We all need it for those of us in these positions as caregivers

Does your mother qualify for medicaid? Depending on your state's plan, there may be a small amount for you. Does your mother have enough money to pay you with a caregiver contract written up and signed?

Most caregivers are not paid and her dementia will reach a point where your care 24/7 will not be enough.

Can you really afford to give up your job with your own need for health insurance and future retirement?
