Is it okay to just leave for a week and tell my three adult children to take care of their dad with Lewy Body Dementia?

Although they know he has problems, and I tell them the most important events, they still don't spend enough time with their dad to really know what I go through every day. I have asked for help, but they will stay with him one hour, then leave. I really thought I would have more support from family, but friends have been better.
