If my father (90) is getting aid and assistance from VA can he also get household pension?
He is homebound and disabled but would like to stay in his assisted living home. Just didn't know if there were any other forms of in home care of not! Thank you
Tweetie, I'm not sure if you can get both (hopefully someone else will answer that) but there is a Home Based Primary Care program through the VA which provides in-home services to some of its geriatric patients. If your dad gets Aid and Attendance, there is a good chance he'd qualify. He might then receive some extra in-home help (at his assisted living facility, from VA employees.)
