Can I get any kind of help with my Mom (98) that lives with me, to give me some relief?

Can't afford anything. My mother and I are on social security only. Please help

Even though my mother was living with us, her monthly income was low enough that she qualified for respite care for 2 weeks at a very small out of pocket amount...we used those weeks for time for ourselves and a visit with our kids and grandchildren...try contacting the county division of aging where you live

I haven't done this yet, but check out Elder Helper's website, they are a group of volunteers: elderhelpers website

Does your mother qualify for Medicaid? The State might allow a trained Caregiver from an Agency to come in to help a couple hours a day. Each State has their own rules, regulations, and programs.

Also, check with your local Council on Aging to see what programs they offer, such as an Aide coming to the house. Go to the link below... find your State.... now find your County..... https://www.agingcare.com/local/Area-Agency-on-Aging
