I thought I once saw an article on getting trained as a caregiver. Am I right?

I live in TX.

We have programs like that here in Arkansas via the Reynolds Center on Aging at UAMS in Little Rock and the Schmeiding center in the Northwest.

Check with Community Colleges for a Certified Nurses Aide course of study. They are very popular and you may have to wait to be admitted. They only last 2 or 3 weeks, but it's intensive. After passing the course, you will be eligible to take the state board exam. There is an additional fee for this, but your license is good for 2 years.

Kilgore College has one, I think Dallas County has one at one of the campuses. Navarro College may have one. Just check with whatever is near you.
