When my folks pass, can I still live in the home until the trust is put?

Read the trust documents thoroughly. Be aware that POA's end at death, at which point the Executor of the Will comes in to play, and possibly a probate proceeding if there is disagreement. Play nice. If you were my brother, I'd let you stay and buy my half out and wait for you to get a mortgage.
