When the caregiver goes into the hospital.

I have seen this come up on this forum a few times. Now here’s an article where a doctor in a hospital describes it from his point of view. The solution proposed sounds good but it’s pretty vague.
I also read online that the proportion of Americans over 65 is predicted to climb from 17% in 2022 to 23% in 2050. Also, 30% of Americans live to 85 and 61% of Americans 85 or older live alone.
That’s a lot of neighbors to check on. And/ or a whole lot of AL, SNF, MC facilities, and a lot of home health care workers needed.
