My YD and her hubby got theirs yesterday--and with 3 kids, it was a bit, not a lot, but very fortuitous as DH finally totaled his crappy car sliding on ice in the hospital parking lot.
YD called me and told me and we kind of laughed---she said "we're going to look for a car for J, a few months earlier than planned, but hey, we have a $3000 down payment. I didn't think we'd get stimulus money now J is a full fledged-big-time-money-making doctor". I said "They went off LAST year's income taxes".
She said the car lots were crawling with people looking for relatively cheap cars, so the stimulus money is in fact, 'stimulating' a little bit of the economy.
