Find Care & Housing
Our family member who was receiving these injections has been rescheduled. And that's someone living on their own. Call the eye doctor. I bet the injections are on hold for everyone.

BeverlyJane, in my area, most of the eye doctors are closed except for urgent issues. Whether they would consider the macular degeneration injections urgent, guess it would be up to the eye doctor. May have to start from scratch later in the year.

When I first heard about the C-19 virus the end of December, I didn't want to schedule my cataract surgery just to play it safe.

Be careful signing up with the ALs medical team. My dad did for convenience and he was stuck, when we tried to change doctors they told everyone that he was on hospice. Just a heads up about what could happen if they are not really ethical.

My mom in assisted living has developed an issue that came up when I was her care giver at home, so I think the issue is recurring. They called me to find out what I want them to do about it, as she should not go out to her doctor. They suggest she sign up with the nurse practitioner who goes to the assisted living home weekly or for emergencies. And then this nurse will be her primary care "physician". I guess we'll have to do this as it seems the safest for my mom. I don't know how you would deal with eye injections though.
