[ I'm going to call attention to this post so that admins can relocate it to the Questions section ] Please ask for a hospice evaluation from her doctor, or palliative care. I'm so sorry for this distressing situation. She is blessed to have you there by her side! Please make sure to take care of your own self through this journey.

It can take a very long time to recover from cancer treatment.
Or really any major setback.
We lose muscle and strength.

Would it be possible to get her outdoors in a wheelchair for a few minutes to enjoy the spring weather if you are having pretty days?

You might ask her doctor to order Home Health and PT. This will give you some support with baths and her meds etc.

Does she get up to have her meals?

Keep her hydrated. Make it easy with plenty of small servings of water.

I’m sorry you’re watching all this happen, it’s so distressing to witness, and I’m sure even harder to experience. Our wise hospice nurse for my dad told us the three signs of end of life were 1. stopping communication 2. stopping eating, and 3. sleeping a deeper than normal sleep. It proved very true for my dad. Of course any of us can die without sign or warning. I wish you and mom both peace

What meds is she on for all her pain? Those can definitely cause tiredness.

Not to mention her age and other diagnosis' that can be energy sucking.

Sleeping a lot can be signs that end of life is near, but the fact that she's waking to eat her 3 meals means that it's not too close yet.
I would recommend bringing hospice on board now, as they can better answer any questions you may have.
They will supply any and all needed equipment, supplies and medications, and have a nurse come once a week to start and aides to come bathe your mom at least twice a week. And all covered 100% under your moms Medicare.
You can call the hospice agency of your choice(as they're not all created equal)or have moms doctor order it for her, and they will come out and do an assessment.
