Nancymame, if and when you do find a live-in caregiver for your Mom please note that you will need to check with your homeowner's insurance carrier regarding a "workman's comp" policy. These policies are in place in case a caregiver gets hurt on the job.

You will also need to be sure that the caregiver has had her yearly TB test, and has had her flu shot.

Have you tried care.com? People often post on Facebook advertising for live-in caregivers as well.
