You can get this information from your father’s Medicare insurance carrier if he has coverage for his medications. It might be cheaper for your father’s co-pay if he does order his medications through the mail. Call his insurance carrier and they will gladly help you.

Try consulting with your dad's AL residence. They may know of some low cost options. They might also have a nurse on staff who can take charge of his medications and can order them as needed for him.
My hubby's AL uses Pharmerica. They use only blister packs and keep fierce track of meds. Our doc gets in touch with them. Before hubby moved to AL he had started to have some paranoia; when he was still home, we had home helpers (WAAAY too expensive for very long) and hubby frequently accused me or the helpers about "messing with his meds," which I certainly was not, and nor were the helpers. At the AL that problem has gone away; nurses find him 3 times a day to hand him and WATCH HIM TAKE his meds. His meds are constantly entered into their computer medical records. It's fast and impersonal-enough that he seems OK with it.
I'm sure there are many other similar services, but I've had no complaints about Pharmerica so far.
The doctor sent them the list and I can order medications and supplements myself but they have to be blister packed before they can give to my father. I suppose I could get it from their pharmacy but I have not checked that option yet. He has only been there little over a month. Thank you for your responses!
I believe that there may be state regulations regarding purchase and distribution of medications (whether OTC OR prescription) are regulated through and by the medical staff.

In my Moms AL, the RN handles ordering of prescriptions. The Medtech distributes them. No medications are allowed in the residents rooms. So surprised you have this responsibility.
