From a ChatGPT search: "Yes Florida provides in-home aid services through its Medicaid Long-Term Care Waiver, which is part of the Statewide Medicaid Managed Care Long-Term Care (SMMC-LTC) program. This waiver allows eligible seniors who would otherwise require nursing homelevel care to receive services in their homes or assisted living facilities. ?? What the Waiver Covers Under this waiver, Florida Medicaid will cover a broad range of home- and community-based services, such as: Personal care and homemaker assistance Skilled and intermittent nursing Physical, occupational, and speech therapies Adult companion services Home-delivered meals Case management Respite care Medical equipment & home modifications Transportation to medical appointments ? Who Is Eligible? To qualify, an individual must: - Be 65 or older, or 18+ with a disability - Require a nursing home level of care - Meet Medicaid income and asset limits (e.g., ??$2,901/month income and ??$2,000 in assets for a single applicant in 2025) ?? How to Apply Eligibility (medical and functional) is assessed through Floridas CARES program. A registered nurse will evaluate to determine if nursing homelevel care is needed. If approved, applicants are placed on a wait list before being enrolled in a Medicaid-managed care plan. Once selected, services begin the following month.  ?? Important Notes This waiver is not an entitlementthere can be waitlists and limited openings. Some areas prioritize the frailest first."

Medicare is not state specific. You receive it at 65 and no matter what state you are in, it provides everyone with the same thing, health insurance basically. You can get durable equipment thru them with a doctors order. Medicare does not pay for ongoing home care. After a hospital stay it will cover in home PT and other things but its temporary. They do provide intermittent care.

Medicaid is State specific. If a person fits Medicaid criteria, they may be able to get in home services. An aide for a certain number of hours a day. Medical with dental, vision and perscriptions. To find out about Medicaid, call you County Social Services.

Call the phone number on the back of either your Medicare card or your supplemental insurance plan card to ask that question. Neither one provides Memory Care costs, however, as they're just health insurance plans.
