Are there any programs in West Virginia that you can get paid for being a caregiver for both parents?

I had a stroke and am paralyzed on right side.  I was also just diagnosed with dementia and Alzhtimer's. I had to quit my job because their other 2 kids refuse to care for them. I am the only one, they are living with me.

USA.gov might also be another option to find assistance in caring for a family member.

I hope you find some help soon, to make things easier for you.

What a difficult situation, Marshab.

Are your parents on Medicaid? West Virginia apparently has a In Home Supportive Services (IHSS) program that provides caregivers when a Medicaid recipient qualifies for caregiving. It’s not clear to me whether family members can provide the care (they can in some states) but it would be worth looking into.

I hope you are able to find some assistance.
