There are a variety of programs that might help. Meals on Wheels is one that comes to mind. You might want to check with your local Veterans Assistance Commission and see if they are aware of any programs the VA has or ones that might be local. You could contact your local Senior Center and ask if they have a program. If there is no one local you can contact call the VA and ask to talk to a Social Worker or Patient Advocate and they may point you in the right direction. In my area there is a Veterans Transitional program and they would also address something like this.
