What is difference between MLTC and NHTD?

AlvaDeer May 2024
From the internet:

"The main differences between memory care and nursing homes are:
Memory care is exclusively for people with dementia, while nursing homes are for people with almost any medical issue that makes living at home too difficult.
Nursing homes offer a more clinical, hospital-like setting while memory care is more home-like.
Memory care is specialized care that is only given to people who are experiencing memory loss, while nursing homes can assist older people who are experiencing memory loss as well as those with other medical issues.
Memory care communities tailor care and lifestyle specifically for the unique needs of those with memory loss, while nursing homes focus on providing individualized care that improves health outcomes, maintains dignity and provides comfort.
Both memory care and nursing homes provide 24-hour care, supervision, and meals. Staff members also help with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, and medication management."
