I’m in the process of getting VA Aid and Attendance benefits for my 88 year old mother. I need to decrease her income through purchase of medical supplies. Any advice?

Does she have a burial plan?

Here's a pretty good article

I would check with ur VA office. Things like walkers, beds and wheelchairs can be gotten thru Medicare with a doctors order. So no need to buy them.

Please tell me that you are not broke because of your spending on your mother? If so, this is why you are broke and she still has money to spend down. It is a tragedy when children give their money up to support their parents, as there is not likely to be reciprocal recompense from their own children. This is money you need to safe a lifetime if you are to be secure in your own elder years.

I hope others will have ideas for you on what expenditures you can make.
