Elderly mother suffering from anemia complains of her hands (skin) being painful to touch. Does anyone have experience with this?

Peripheral polyneuropathy cause tingling sensations, burning pain and hypersensitivity in upper or lower extremities, including hands and feet. Many conditions like diabetes and anemia may cause it. Other anemia symptoms are chronic fatigue, poor balance, rapid heartbeats, difficulty breathing, restless leg syndrome. The more severe the anemia, the more intense the symptoms. Hopefully, the cause of the anemia will be found and corrected. Only then, the other symptoms and the neuropathy will have a chance to improve. If she is diabetic, her glucose levels need to be stabilized.
