I am sorry for your loss. By what authority did your stepson evict you from your home? Was your name on the title?

Did your late husband have a will, or did he die without one?

If you are legally married (or if not common law is recognized in your state) you should be entitled to marital assets, I think you need to speak with a lawyer.

The police, sounds like an illegal eviction to me. Why did he kick you out? This could easily be considered elder abuse.
